    His Word For Me Today . . . .

The Certainty of God’s Witness “This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth. For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and […]

Do Not Worry “Then He said to His disciples, “Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; nor about the body, what you will put on. Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.  Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which […]

Working Out – Start With The Inside First and The Outside Will Follow

All of us are health conscious these days, watching our diets, trying to exercise as much as we can when time allows. I find after a good workout, my body feels good, muscles hurt, but it’s the kind of hurt that stimulates the inner man indicating that they are growing. Physically, I’m tired, but once […]

Error and Greed “If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, useless wranglings of […]

THE GREATEST COMMANDMENT   “Now this is the commandment, and these are the statutes and judgments which the Lord your God has commanded to teach you, that you may observe them in the land which you are crossing over to possess, that you may fear the Lord your God, to keep all His statutes and […]

Prayer Will Build Character

Posted by Men of Redemption on January 3, 2012

Prayer is will build character in all of us. It’s our communication with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. Daily prayer and meditation is a matter of will and habit. Prayer should be a part of our lives everyday. Prayer involves not only asking God for blessing and understanding but it also involves praising and giving Him thanks for what He is, and has already done. We are to give God thanks in all things, good and bad because there is always a reason He allows these things in our lives. He wants us to learn, grow, and realize that we need Him. If you have a relationship with God, communicating with Him is essential for a healthy life.

“Prayer is not a work that can be allocated to one or another group in the church. It is everybody’s responsibility; it is everybody’s privilege.” A. W. Tozer
