GOD’S DESIRE FOR HIS PEOPLE “Then the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: “I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence […]

GOD’S WRATH ON UNRIGHTEOUSNESS   “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are […]

FREE FROM INDWELLING SIN “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law […]

Walk in the Light “Nevertheless even among the rulers many believed in Him, but because of the Pharisees they did not confess Him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God. Then Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in […]

Prayer Will Build Character

Posted by Men of Redemption on January 3, 2012

Prayer is will build character in all of us. It’s our communication with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. Daily prayer and meditation is a matter of will and habit. Prayer should be a part of our lives everyday. Prayer involves not only asking God for blessing and understanding but it also involves praising and giving Him thanks for what He is, and has already done. We are to give God thanks in all things, good and bad because there is always a reason He allows these things in our lives. He wants us to learn, grow, and realize that we need Him. If you have a relationship with God, communicating with Him is essential for a healthy life.

“Prayer is not a work that can be allocated to one or another group in the church. It is everybody’s responsibility; it is everybody’s privilege.” A. W. Tozer
