GIVE THANKS TO GOD IN AND FOR EVERYTHING! “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of […]

WALKING IN THE SPIRIT “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are […]

On behalf of all the men of “Men of Redemption” and the women of “Wives’ Redeemed Hearts” our ministries would like to say have a warm and hearty Happy Thanksgiving to all of you this special day as you rejoice and embrace with family and friends. THE CONVERSION ON THE DAMASCUS ROAD “Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to […]

THE LAW OF LIBERTY “Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. For one believes he may eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Let not him who eats despise him who does not eat, and let not him who does not eat judge him […]

Prayer Will Build Character

Posted by Men of Redemption on January 3, 2012

Prayer is will build character in all of us. It’s our communication with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. Daily prayer and meditation is a matter of will and habit. Prayer should be a part of our lives everyday. Prayer involves not only asking God for blessing and understanding but it also involves praising and giving Him thanks for what He is, and has already done. We are to give God thanks in all things, good and bad because there is always a reason He allows these things in our lives. He wants us to learn, grow, and realize that we need Him. If you have a relationship with God, communicating with Him is essential for a healthy life.

“Prayer is not a work that can be allocated to one or another group in the church. It is everybody’s responsibility; it is everybody’s privilege.” A. W. Tozer
