WHAT’S ON YOUR MIND? TOPIC: MAKING TIME FOR EACH OTHER “My wife and I are finding it really difficult to make time for one another because of our schedules and it’s causing a lot of friction between us. I’m trying to make time and so is she. But work, and other obligations prevent us from spending […]

    Some Encouragement For Today . . . .

“I think we have greater reason to ask the Lord to impress more deeply upon us the truth we have received than to ask him to give us more truth; for what we already know might suffice us if we did but know it better; and if we kept in mind the things which […]

His Word For Me This Day Through My . . . .

FREE FROM INDWELLING SIN “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law […]

TODAY’S TOPIC:  A FORGIVING WIFE  “I realize I’ve hurt my wife because of my behaviors that brought shame to my marriage and family, but will my wife ever forgive me and let the past be the past? “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the […]

Prayer Will Build Character

Posted by Men of Redemption on January 3, 2012

Prayer is will build character in all of us. It’s our communication with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ. Daily prayer and meditation is a matter of will and habit. Prayer should be a part of our lives everyday. Prayer involves not only asking God for blessing and understanding but it also involves praising and giving Him thanks for what He is, and has already done. We are to give God thanks in all things, good and bad because there is always a reason He allows these things in our lives. He wants us to learn, grow, and realize that we need Him. If you have a relationship with God, communicating with Him is essential for a healthy life.

“Prayer is not a work that can be allocated to one or another group in the church. It is everybody’s responsibility; it is everybody’s privilege.” A. W. Tozer
