    MY QUESTION ABOUT RECOVERY IS . . . .

“My new support group has a workbook and a journal. I’ve never been one to journal and looking through it it involves a lot of writing. I’m not a writer so how can I understand the purpose of what’s required of me? Your group is asking you to do something that you’ve never tried to […]

WORDS OF WISDOM – WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS ABOUT IT!

WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS ABOUT . . . . LIVING FOR GOD “So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin. You won’t spend the rest of your […]

    BEING AN OVERCOMER!

    GOD’S WORD FOR THIS DAY!

TODAY’S PASSAGE: LUKE 12:1-12  (TPT) . . . . JESUS WARNS AGAINST HYPOCRISY “By now a crowd of many thousands had gathered around Jesus. So many people pushed to be near him, they began to trample on one another. Jesus turned to his disciples and warned them, “Make sure you are not influenced by the […]

WORDS OF WISDOM – WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS ABOUT IT!

WHAT GOD’S WORD SAYS ABOUT . . . . CHRIST TOOK OUR PUNISHMENT “But now God has shown us a way to be made right with him without keeping the requirements of the law, as was promised in the writings of Moses and the prophets long ago. We are made right with God by placing […]

Read Your Word This Morning?

Posted by Men of Redemption on May 18, 2016

Breakfast of ChampionsIf you haven’t read your Word today just yet, and you’re about to get started or you’re preparing to do so, consider this for just this day – after reading God’s Word, thank Him for the privilege of reading His Word, then just be silent for the next 10-15 minutes and listen for God’s voice to speak to you. Time and time again, we can get really complacent in reading His Word, verse after verse, chapter after chapter, and then it can get routine, then boredom starts to set in. While we’re reading God’s Word, let’s remember that it’s more than just reading-it’s also making and taking time to allow God to speak to you. How does that happen? Before you begin your reading, pray, and ask God for revelation and understanding. Then ask Him to tune your ears into listening to His voice, tuning your spiritual ears to receive spiritual wisdom, and tune out the noises of the world and its daily rations of confusion. Then God will be inclined to speak to you in that still, small voice to enlighten you, to tell you how much He loves you and what His plans are for you for that day. Always be ready to listen to God when reading His Word. You never know what He wants to say to you.

My Daily Devotion

Posted by Men of Redemption on May 18, 2016

Devotions“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.   –   COLOSSIANS  3:12-17

Today’s Point of Focus:

In Christ, He develops a new character in us, and we are changed for the better.
