Restoring a Life of Purity – One Day at a Time

Recovery Tip For This Week!

Posted by Men of Redemption on July 4, 2016

Tip for this week . . . . Cast Out Doubt!

Here’s a struggle for so many men and women in recovery. Okay, you have a plan, a structure that you’re attempting to follow with all of your boundaries in place. Then all of a sudden, you start to Doubt if this is the right thing. You wonder if you’ve put everything in place so you can be as successful as possible and not return to past behaviors. We wonder, we over-think, we contemplate whether we are doing what we should be doing. Sometimes that ole serpent, the devil, enjoys playing games with us and our minds but we need to authority over that doubt by casting out those lies, that doubt, that distraction and trust the Lord God. We already know the devil’s aim is to distract us from depending on God Almighty, discrediting Him by denying His existence in every area of our lives. We have to make a declaration, a stand, and serve the enemy of our souls notice that he is a defeated foe and he will not interrupt our plans for seeking purity in Christ. While we are moving forward in all of our efforts, speak life and victory over every challenge you meet and declare the Blood of the Lamb over your life! Speak to that distraction or bump in the road and profess ” In the Name of Jesus, I will doubt, or fear this challenge, and I will overcome by the Blood of the Lamb!” Then watch the power and mercy of God our Father move that and all obstacles out of your way, in Jesus’ Name! Don’t allow any lack of unbelief or doubt to interfere with your recovery-ever!!

“So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”  –  MATTHEW  17:20
