Restoring a Life of Purity – One Day at a Time

Read Your Word This Morning?

Daily MannaReading God’s Word on a daily basis will increase your Knowledge and Wisdom in life’s experiences as well as our understanding of God, and who He is. I’ve found that every time I get into His Word, I’m discovering something new and everlasting about God. His knowledge, His understanding of life, His guidance in and over my life as He leads me by His Holy Spirit daily gives me the proper perspectives I need to get through it all one day at a time. Just to give you some understanding, look at what Proverbs 1 says . . . .

“The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel: To know wisdom and instruction, To perceive the words of understanding, To receive the instruction of wisdom, Justice, judgment, and equity; To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion—A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel, To understand a proverb and an enigma, The words of the wise and their riddles. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, But fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

Proverbs  1:1-7

Wisdom, knowledge, both are gifts from God to those who ask for them. Look at what God said to Solomon when He saw that Solomon’s heart was in alignment with His will and not his own:

“Then God said to Solomon: “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches or wealth or honor or the life of your enemies, nor have you asked long life—but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge My people over whom I have made you king.”  –  2  Chronicles  1:11

When you read God’s Word, what’s in your heart is what God is after. What’s in your heart today as you read His Word?
