Restoring a Life of Purity – One Day at a Time

Read Your Word This Morning?

Posted by Men of Redemption on July 20, 2016

Daily MannaReading God’s Word will affect our daily Thought Process as we consistently pour ourselves into His Word. The way we think and read are totally two different parallels and they both get different results. Whatever our thoughts prior to beginning to reading God’s Word, it probably was in opposition because of the time needed to absorb what we’re about to read. We’ve probably asked ourselves “Do I really need to read the Bible?” You see, our attitudes have a lot to do with our thoughts, and most of the time many of us have a nonchalant attitude with our thoughts to reading God’s Word. It’s either “I do or I don’t. I’ll get it in sometime through the day.” So we don’t think about the Word as importantly as we should. But when we consistently apply ourselves and allow the Word of God renew and transform our thoughts and mind, we’ll develop a desire that the Word become life to us and we’ll want to start reading the Word more. Our attitude changes, our thoughts become revised and renewed with intention and purpose. Look at what I discovered because of reading God’s Word . . . .

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”  –   Romans  12:1, 2
