Recovery Tip For This Week!

Road_RecoveryTip for This Week . . . .

Keep Moving Forward, And Don’t Look Back!

It’s hard sometimes to remain focused, to stay motivated in recovery when things look like they’re about to crumble right before our eyes. I mean, all of our efforts that we accomplished to a certain point seems like they are now all in vain. But we have to understand-that’s what the enemy of our souls wants us to think and believe. Recovery was never designed or created to be the answer to everything, but one of its primary purposes is keep us focused on moving forward despite our daily challenges to be distracted or to give up. While we are in recovery, the road we must travel is going to be very different from those roads that everyone else travels. The environments, the distractions, the atmospheres of life, these can and will be hindrances to our recovery efforts because there are those who do not want to see us succeed in our quest for purity and wholeness in Christ. This week, be mindful of those three hindrances as you’re taking this journey called recovery. And also be careful not to engage with those who not like-minded as you who want to move forward, not only in life but in your recovery as well. Wholeness and pure in heart is the focus for those of us who are in recovery, and we know the only way that’s going to happen is through our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. So as you move forward, acknowledge the signs, and know that they are there. Then trust the Lord God, Jesus Christ to strengthen you, embrace you, and allow His Holy Spirit to empower you to move forward and move on.
