Recovery Tip For This Week!

Road_RecoveryThis Week’s Tip of the week . . . .

Put Your Faith in Action!

So your recovery efforts are going just like you planned. You’re doing the right things; you’re following your protocol to the very point; you’re trusting God to carry you through as you submit yourself to His leading; okay, so where does your Faith come into play? One of the easiest things we can do as men and women in recovery is leave our faith at the starting line but forget we need faith, and that faith in God, to sustain us throughout our recovery. Don’t get all caught up in your successes that good days in recovery can bring. We cannot forget that it took faith to even begin this journey of recovery. What are you believing God for in your recovery? Yeah, the obvious-freedom, purity in Christ, and walking in that freedom for the rest of our lives. True! But freedom is going to cost us something, and are you willing to pay the price for it with and by your faith? In recovery we all want freedom because God shows us who we are in Him, and who He wants us to be. But are we willing to take that step of faith and become that which God desires us to be? Or are we standing at the edge of where we are and contemplating whether we want that freedom or not? Are you willing, trusting your faith in God to get you where you want to go or want to be? Look at your recovery plan and see where you could use some faith to take you where God wants you to be. It’s probably why so many of us are stagnant, complacent in our recovery efforts because our faith hasn’t been activated. Trust God to do in you what He desires to do because He is faithful!

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.”
