Restoring a Life of Purity – One Day at a Time

Read Your Word This Morning?

Posted by Men of Redemption on August 9, 2016

Breakfast of ChampionsPrayer changes things. Every time I get into God’s Word I read about how people of the Bible always seem to make prayer a common thread when adversity or trials happen in their lives. Even in some case I have read about where prayer is a part of their lives and it’s not about adversity or trials, it’s something that they do in obedience to God. Prayer is our own intimate communication with the Holy Father. It’s personal. It’s a time where we get alone with the Lord, being transparent, being honest, and bringing all of our petitions to Him in our time of need or help (Hebrews 4:16). It’s comforting to know that in God’s Word we can find how prayer has worked in the lives of so many people because they believe He will answer their prayers. He is not a God who will not hear us, but a God who listens to us and hears our cries. Whenever we are faced with challenges that are beyond our understanding or something that we can not do or handle ourselves, when we pray God intervenes and bring the answer, the peace, and the understanding to every situation. This day, I pray that as you read your Word that the Lord God Almighty, Jesus Christ, enlightens your heart, that He will bring understanding and grace to every uncertainty, every unexplainable situation you face in all you do, and trust that He will do it. Then watch the glory of the Lord shine in His glory and open your eyes what He really wants you to see. Let prayer be a part of your life, not just something you do when times get tough or you’re faced with a dilemma or challenge.
