Restoring a Life of Purity – One Day at a Time

Read Your Word This Morning?

Posted by Men of Redemption on August 24, 2016

Breakfast of ChampionsIn you’re sphere of influence, as you’re reading the Word of God, have you ever discovered that you’re probably the only one who is reading God’s Word? With a lot of people who are feeding themselves with God’s Word that’s exactly the case! For whatever their reason or reasons for not getting into God’s Word, it’s apparent that they see you doing it and there’s a reason for that. If you are spending time in God’s Word and your friends, family or concerned ones are not, they’re probably looking at you, unto you, to see how that’s working out for you. We understanding we’re living in a world where people want to “see” things first before they actually step into it and believe (Doubting Thomas in John 20:24-29). Because of you reading God’s Word daily, or at least trying to, you are Becoming a Light to A World that’s looking for something different from what they are used to seeing, and to see if it truly works in your own life. You are that light because you’re doing something, getting something, and experiencing something that they may be afraid of doing or for some other reason. That’s why it’s so imperative that we continue to read God’s Word and be a light, and to bring that Blessed Hope to them that are weak in the faith or just to someone who is looking for hope in something or someone different from what or who they are seeing. Doing this can and will affect their live tremendously, and make the difference they’re looking for.

“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”  –  MATTHEW  5:14-16
