Fears. We all have them. It just depends on how you deal with your fears. Are you one of those individuals who see the fears that you face daily, know that they’re there, and you just allow them to take they’re course and then deal with the aftermath or consequences later on. That’s the mentality of a lot people in these days of uncertainty. But it doesn’t have to be that way. In reading God’s Word, many of the prophets, those who evangelize and people of faith reiterate that abiding in God’s presence will assure us of how we should handle our fears not matter what they are or attempt to do. Some of the fears that we face have placed a spirit of paralysis on our lives, gaining influence over how we react to situations, circumstances and decisions. That’s not what God’s Word teaches us. We cannot give the enemy of our souls, the devil, permission or authority, to cause havoc and fear in our lives based on the fact that we are not where we want or need to be in Christ Jesus! We cannot allow anxiety to overwhelm us because we placed our hope in the dwelling place of the heavenly Father. His Word comforts us in knowing that He is always there to protect us, to give us assurance that no matter what we go through-mentally, emotionally or spiritually- abiding in His presence will protect us from all strategies of our adversaries. So I believe we have to ask ourselves this question: Are you abiding in the presence of Almighty God by trusting Him in all things as you allow His will to be priority in your life? There is not a right or wrong answer, it’s the understanding that God desires you much more than you’ll ever know because we are His prized creation. He loves us that much! So whatever fears you may have are being challenged in-fear of a better life, fear of moving forward in a promotional opportunity, fear of trusting God to do what He says He will do (yes, this is a big one!), or just the fear of fear itself because you’ve dealt with fear all of your life that it has become a part of your life and thinking, know that God can take away those fears and replace them with His love, His compassion and grace so that we can live in His abundance without fear.

“He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.” Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you. Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone. You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot. “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.” –  Psalm 91:1-16
