.  .  .  TO DEVELOP IN ME A CHRIST-LIKE CHARACTER, PLEASING TO THE LORD.

Today, I pray O God, that I allow you Heavenly Father to instill in me your character, your ways, your attributes that I may be pleasing in your sight; that my heart has true, honorable intentions toward my fellow-man everywhere, so that the joy of the Lord is resonating from my being in all that I do or say. Teach me your statutes Lord God, that your love and grace abounds in every area of my life; I know that where your Spirit is there is liberty so Father I desire to be more and more like you in every day that you give me life. Let there be no evil or vengeance in my soul, no bitterness nor hatred toward anyone Lord God. Let your peace dwell in me richly that I might glorify you with who you created me to be, and the purpose and declaring the Name of Jesus Christ in all the Earth!

Lord, who may abide in Your tabernacle? Who may dwell in Your holy hill? He who walks uprightly, And works righteousness, And speaks the truth in his heart; He who does not backbite with his tongue, Nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor does he take up a reproach against his friend; In whose eyes a vile person is despised, But he honors those who fear the Lord; He who swears to his own hurt and does not change; He who does not put out his money at usury, Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things shall never be moved.”  –  Psalm 15:1-5

.  .  .  TO HELP ME GLORIFY YOU WITH THE GIFTS YOU’VE GIVEN ME.

Today, Heavenly Father God, help me lift up and glorify your name with all that you’ve blessed me with; You have given me talents, gifts, wisdom and understanding along with discernment-show O God how to use them affectively to draw others to you. Help me not be caught up in building up myself but edifying others so that they might know your Word, that they might come to relationship with you Father God and experience your love, grace and mercy like I have come to know you and even more so. Strengthen my desire to serve with gladness and a cheerful heart Lord God, that I might show myself diligent in drawing others to the kingdom of your light O God.

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”  –  Romans  12:3-8

.  .  .  TO HELP ME BECOME LIFE GIVING BY THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK.

For this day, Lord God, I pray and ask that you heavenly Father strengthen me to speak with the wisdom and grace of your Word so that others will see You O God in me and not myself; that encouragement and edification would be received and understood by those whom I speak them to. Instill in me Lord God, a peaceful and contrite spirit, where love, joy, longsuffering and kindness rests upon the walls of my heart; Teach Heavenly Father how to know humility, to love one another as you have loved and continue to love me. Let your peace reign within me that what comes out of me will bring hope and lead them to you O God.

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.”  –  Proverbs 18:4

.  .  .  TO FEAR YOU O GOD BECAUSE YOU ARE ALMIGHTY GOD!

This day, heavenly Father God, help me to know that you are the Almighty God, Lord and Savior, King of kings; I trust you Lord God to show yourself in your magnificence and majesty, and all of your wonder; let the fear of your glory and presence resonate in my heart that I may know you personally Father God. Speak to my spirit man that I might be captivated  by your awesome power and glory; I trust you dear God that my family would fear you Lord God because of who you are-the Omnipotent One, the Omnipresent One, and the Omniscient One. You are worthy O God of all the praise, all the glory, and all the honor.

“Who is the man that fears the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way He chooses. He himself shall dwell in prosperity, And his descendants shall inherit the earth. The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, And He will show them His covenant. My eyes are ever toward the Lord, For He shall pluck my feet out of the net.”  –  Psalm 25:12-15

TO BE SURROUNDED BY THOSE WHO SPEAK LIFE AND NOT SLANDER OR DECEIT

This day, Father God, I pray that you will help me in placing those around me who will edify me, strengthen me in the things of your Word; those who have your Holy Spirit living and breathing in their lives manifested by what you’re doing in their own lives to share, to offer up wise and loving counsel to my situations. Let them have a heart to offer suggestion with a spirit of kindness and not being critical; that they would be led by your wisdom and guidance; bring them into my life, for I desire your chastening Lord God with true and honorable correction.

“There is one who speaks like the piercings of a sword, But the tongue of the wise promotes health.”  –  Proverbs 12:18

.  .  .  .  TO HELP ME TO KNOW YOU GOD, TO KNOW YOUR WILL.

This day, O Lord, I pray and trust that you would help me come to know you in a real, genuine and personal way: that my mind and heart is stayed on you, and on your Word. Father God, increase my awareness of your purpose for my life; give me true, honest intentions to share your word without wanting something in return; guide my thoughts that I keep your precepts, your statutes, your commands hidden in my heart. And help me to abide in you by the power of the Holy Spirit, to live in power, victory and authority of your Word.

“Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him. He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked.”  –  1 John 2:3-6

.  .  .  To Guard The Words That I Speak to Others.

This day, I pray Lord God, that You O God guard the words that I speak to and over others; Help me to be intentional in sharing from my heart and not my mind; let those words that I speak be full of life, edifying those that they are intended to reach. Let me not curse the one and bless the other with same mouth or words that leave my heart heavenly Father; help me to know what’s in my heart and be sensitive to the ears of those that hear me, that listen to me. Teach me Father God to guard my heart that what I allow to enter into me is peaceable, joyful and honorable; that the words of my mouth be acceptable in you sight O Lord.

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”  –  Psalm 19:14

.  .  . To Help Me Become a Man of Righteousness in Character.

This day Father God, I pray and  ask you Lord to help me become a man of character in righteousness; help me lean not on my perception of my thoughts but by Your Spirit I learn to act accordingly with grace, peace, love and kindness in everything I do. That my decisions are full of preparation that has been ordained and prayed over before speaking to others; that I develop a forgiving heart and help others in their time of need. teach me O God, that I might hear your voice and glean from Your Word, being taught to receive and apply Your Word to every area of my life; that everything I say or do will represent You O God with humility and grace. Lead me this day I pray, in Jesus’ Name.

“Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. But above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection. And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”  –  Colossians 3:12-17

TO HELP ME KEEP MY WORD AND FOLLOW THROUGH WITH RENEWED DILIGENCE.

This day Father, in Jesus’ Name, I pray that you would help me stay true and accountable to the words, the promises and declarations that I speak to others; that my intentions are clear and pursuant of righteousness and holiness in all that I say or do. I’ve failed at this considerably,  have admitted and confessed to you dear God of my weaknesses in this area; you have forgiven me Lord God with your grace and mercy and I thank you O God; but help me Lord God to exemplify your truth in my life, my countenance and my intentions more clearly that I might be a light instead of a hindrance to others.

“My son, if you become surety for your friend, If you have shaken hands in pledge for a stranger, You are snared by the words of your mouth; You are taken by the words of your mouth. So do this, my son, and deliver yourself; For you have come into the hand of your friend: Go and humble yourself; Plead with your friend. Give no sleep to your eyes, Nor slumber to your eyelids. Deliver yourself like a gazelle from the hand of the hunter, And like a bird from the hand of the fowler.”    Proverbs  6: 1-5

. . . . TO STRENGTHEN ME WHEN I SUFFER FOR RIGHT AND WRONG.

This day Father God, I’m trusting you to keep me from harm and evil from those who are against me because of my faith in you; protect me O God from the slander and evil deeds of those who don’t want me to succeed in this life. Help me to hold on that blessed hope that is in me that you have placed there in my heart. I trust you O God that you protect me from the threats and anguish of the disobedient.

“And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil.

– 1 Peter 3: 13-17
