Today, I Will Trust God To . . . .

.  .  .  TO HELP ME GLORIFY YOU WITH THE GIFTS YOU’VE GIVEN ME.

Today, Heavenly Father God, help me lift up and glorify your name with all that you’ve blessed me with; You have given me talents, gifts, wisdom and understanding along with discernment-show O God how to use them affectively to draw others to you. Help me not be caught up in building up myself but edifying others so that they might know your Word, that they might come to relationship with you Father God and experience your love, grace and mercy like I have come to know you and even more so. Strengthen my desire to serve with gladness and a cheerful heart Lord God, that I might show myself diligent in drawing others to the kingdom of your light O God.

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, let us prophesy in proportion to our faith; or ministry, let us use it in our ministering; he who teaches, in teaching; he who exhorts, in exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.”  –  Romans  12:3-8

My Daily Devotion

Posted by Men of Redemption on January 19, 2016

Devotions“I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ; just as it is right for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart, inasmuch as both in my chains and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers with me of grace. For God is my witness, how greatly I long for you all with the affection of Jesus Christ. And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment, that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense till the day of Christ, being filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.”

Power Punch with Proverbs

Power Punch

PROVERBS 2:1-9

“My son, if you receive my words, and treasure my commands within you, so that you incline your ear to wisdom, and apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, and lift up your voice for understanding, if you seek her as silver, and search for her as for hidden treasures; then you will understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly; He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints. Then you will understand righteousness and justice, equity and every good path.”

OKAY! This is what God wants from His children: for us to cry out for wisdom and understanding from Him. He knows that we need understanding and guidance to make it in this life and without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). He desires us to cry out to Him and He is eager to bless us with the giftings He has for us. But we struggle with this because of fear, shame, guilt because of our disobedience thinking we don’t deserve to receive it from Him. That’s nothing but a lie from the pit of hell! He promises to give us the strength, wisdom and understanding that it take to be a light in this world. He will be that shield and protector for us when we face challenges that seem to overwhelm us. Our ways will please Him as we remain obedient to His Word, His Spirit, and we walk in His statutes and commands. Our lives will be full of righteousness and He will preserve us in all things.
