Today, I Will Trust God To . . . .

.  .  .  TO HELP ME BECOME LIFE GIVING BY THE WORDS THAT I SPEAK.

For this day, Lord God, I pray and ask that you heavenly Father strengthen me to speak with the wisdom and grace of your Word so that others will see You O God in me and not myself; that encouragement and edification would be received and understood by those whom I speak them to. Instill in me Lord God, a peaceful and contrite spirit, where love, joy, longsuffering and kindness rests upon the walls of my heart; Teach Heavenly Father how to know humility, to love one another as you have loved and continue to love me. Let your peace reign within me that what comes out of me will bring hope and lead them to you O God.

“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is a flowing brook.”  –  Proverbs 18:4

Read Your Word This Morning?

CHRIST WARNED US: THEY WILL HATE YOU BECAUSE OF MY NAMESAKE

Oh the challenges we face because of our faith in Jesus Christ. We as people of God know and understanding that not everyone believes in our Lord and Savior. For whatever reason or reasons, they seem to have formed an opinion based on a lack of evidence or facts, or primarily just based on the perception that God truly isn’t who He says He is with all the violence and turmoil going on in the world. Therefore, they have grown to hate our Lord God, Jesus because according to their understanding how could a loving and caring God allow so much trouble, so much anger and deceit to infiltrate our world and not do anything about it. Well, God’s Word teaches us about all the trouble and suffering that’s going on in the world, and it has a lot more to do with disobedience and rebellion that just the anger and frustration most would care to believe. But faithfully, God warns us that the world hated Him before they hated us. So when we are faced with the challenges of being ridiculed and even punished for our faith, we are to trust in Him because it’s not us whom those that persecute us are directing their anger and hatred at-it’s our Lord. Because we carry the Name of Jesus Christ on our hearts and live a Christian life we are hated and persecuted against all the day long. But God comforts us in knowing that He understands our persecutions and that we should not allow the effects of those persecutions and slanderous comments get to us because He has overcome the world. Reading His Word tells us all that we need to know regarding the dislikes of those who are against Him and protects us from this behavior by His Holy Spirit. If they hated him surely because of our faith and loyalty to Him they will hate us also. But we shall stand and persevere as He did, and continue to love our brothers, love our enemies because our Lord and Savior never for once blinked an eye to retaliation or revenge. He just continued to love and have compassion on those that didn’t know Him or never understood life as a creation of the Most High God. Stay strong and obedient to His Word no matter what your face throughout your day.

“You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.”  –  1 John 4:4
