The Word, with Our Morning Coffee

“The Lord thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.” – Zephaniah 3:17

Do you ever feel sometimes like when you’re going through something and you wonder if God is there? It may be a relationship gone bad; or maybe you and your spouse have are contemplating separation and you think where is God when you need Him most. Or maybe in life you can’t find your way and you’re looking for direction but can’t seem to find it. Well, God is there, and always have been. As a child of God, He rejoices over us in every area of our lives. No matter what we go through, He has purpose for that situation and assures us that He’s right there, and that He is right in the midst of every little detail. He loves us so much that He can’t or won’t allow us to be comfortless. We need to know, as well as understand, that we are His greatest creation and He has always cared for us, but we sometimes allow our situations or circumstances to overwhelm our need for our Creator. He knows what we go through, our struggles, our hurts and pains, and He still is right there to bring us out and let us know that His love is always there, it’s eternal, and we can always count on Him to love us through it all. One of the most common stumbling blocks of not knowing that God is there is fear. Some of us are so fearful of being loved and cared for because we may have never experienced that in our homes from parental upbringing. But God wants us to be assured that His love and care for us in all the details of our lives is endless and abounding with unconditional affection. Today, know that God is there for you in all things. You may not see it because of your situation but He’s right there in the midst of it, with the love, the caring and the comfort that we need when we least expect it. Have a wonderful, peaceful and victorious day friends, in Jesus’ Name!
