TODAY’S DEVOTIONAL READING . . . .

OUR PASSAGE COMES FROM:

LUKE 10:38-42 . . . .

“Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.””

RECOVERY REFLECTION: In my recovery structure I have things in place that keep my focused and determined on the goals I’ve set for myself. I can get so busy in all that I do and lose track sometimes that I have to remember to take time out to be thankful and grateful to God for taking me through this process. Getting caught up in a structured purpose of life can be a demanding and vigorous challenge. But I realized that taking time to allow myself to thank God for saving me, for bringing me out of what I’ve just come out of should be a part of that process as well. Let me encourage you, that even in your recovery, do yourself a blessing and incorporate some quality time, some time of peace and thankfulness to reflect how good the Lord God has been to you and what He’s brought you through and out of.

Thank you for your comment.
